Planning to Improve the Planet - Part Four

There are many resources within the Adelaidezone to help you plan your strategy for improving the planet, wherever you happen to be in the physical world at any particular moment.

But do you, and will you, have access to the most relevant Adelaidezone resources at the most relevant time?

Are you currently seeking to peruse important historical records 

about quality leadership practices? 

How have you been investing in the Adelaidezone, if at all?

You may have noticed that the entire Adelaidezone has much in common with a commonplace book.

You may regard commonplace books as not particularly common in your experience.

Perhaps experiences of books, in general, are not a common part of your daily existence.

What do you believe will be commonplace in the future, whether in terms of documents, orchards, fruit, nuts, flowers, freedom or fires?

How, in your view, does fruitful editing relate to investing in an intelligently kind culture?

How does investing in good policy help to support good editing, good living, good food, good water and healthy environments? 

What do you believe investing in simple living means in practice, especially in relation to plant, animal and human quarantine?

How imaginative, delicious and nutritious is your approach to preparing soup, whether in a cauldron or otherwise?

Creativity is meant to express originality or at least freshness.  Everything else is mimesis.

The problems of the past repeat themselves continually as a consequence of inappropriate mimesis, much like lazily prepared soup from packets and tins. 

Fresh is always best.

Even so, dry humour is sometimes necessary, for therapeutic purposes.

When, if ever, has your humour been expressed in a suitably condensed an/or desiccated way, and for what purpose?

What is your acquaintance with dietary needs, philanthropic possibilities and long-term investments?

What, for example, is your acquaintance with soup and soup kitchens and superannuation?

What do you know about adaptation, conservation, repairs and renovations as fruitful forms of editing?

How much money are you willing and able to provide towards maintaining public access to the virtual garden and digital entrance to Frugality Cottage, and why?

Are you sure you are capable of doing so in good faith?

You may be hoping to acquire access to the most recent volume of the Adelaidezone anthology or the earliest example of a Twaklinesque florilegium or the latest Twaklinological compilation of the Adagia or the newest Twaklinian textbook or a secret scroll of Twaklinological political skills.

What do you know about investing in fruitful editing?

You are probably aware that only appropriate registered patrons currently have access to the Adelaidezone Information Service.

What have you discovered through that service at various times?



Various opportunities arise in various parts of the Adelaidezone only briefly. 

Queen Adelaide believes it necessary to inform you that, given the lack of consistent political improvements since the 1830s, anywhere in the world, fresh legislation will be required in every decade, from now on, to reform parliaments, governments and societies, as long as the improved legislation is properly constituted, suitably implemented and fairly enforced.

Her Majesty is very well informed about political matters, particularly regarding reforms and revolutions.

What is your knowledge of such subjects?

Government policy, everywhere, is utterly corrupted by greedily over-privileged bullies and other persons with conflicts of interest.

Current constitutions have done nothing to prevent the problem, and nor have the associated judiciaries.

You may already know that Queen Adelaide has a highly cautious approach to reforms.

You apparently do not care about your responsibilities towards improving planet Earth as the only suitable location in the Universe upon which to experience the ephemerality of consciousness as a human being. 

You may prefer to go to Mars instead, or the Moon, or the outer edges of the Earth's gravity relative to your size.

Perhaps you have an obsession with climbing mountains, possibly including volcanic ones, such as Olympus Mons.

How are you addressing global warming on Earth if not with a hubrisometer and a thermometer?

Perhaps your hubrisometer is still an early prototype with little practical use.

Perhaps you do not even know how to use a thermometer politically, for the common good.

Why are you apparently afraid to be tested in person with the Hubrisometer in the virtual laboratory in the digital Tower of Truth?

Why is it that the Gullibulometer makes laughing noises when your name is mentioned in its vicinity?

What are the most useful features of your hubrisometer?

Perhaps it doubles as a thermometer and/or has a highly reliable urgency indicator and/or it spits out endless data about corrupt practices.

You are currently spending and/or investing time in the virtual library of Frugality Cottage. 

Do you believe you are spending/investing this time well?

You may not be free to return as you may wish. 

The truth of the matter will probably depend on how you are investing in urgent reforms.

Perhaps you mainly act on behalf of an institutional investor and/or an informal group of investors, such as a family group, possibly including your own family members.

Perhaps you are devoted to greed-related mergers and acquisitions rather than the urgent improvement of the world.

Do you have faith in stock markets?

Do you have faith in banking systems?

Do you have faith in property investments?

Do you have any faith in investment houses? 

Do you have faith in anything you believe to be supernatural?

You are responsible for your own biases.

You are also responsible for ensuring you overcome such errors adequately.

If you ever compromise your values, why do you do so?

How do you know your values are reasonably in accordance with good faith and good evidence?

Do you often spend considerable time in virtual and/or physical libraries or very little? 

Frugality Cottage is an investment house.

All the investments associated with it involve the development and implementation of plans to improve planet Earth.

Perhaps you do not regard the improvement of planet Earth to be a worthwhile goal.

Perhaps you do not even regard the improvement of your leadership to be a worthwhile goal.

Perhaps you believe you have had no relevant experiences in leading planetary improvement processes, with or without the support of wonderful witches and/or various ethereal persons from history and/or characters from legend/fiction and/or ordinary mortals such as The Author.

Reforms are obviously necessary when disruptions are frequent, but how do you assess the causes of disruptions, and from whose point of view?

The Council of Enlightenment has no record of your willingness to join the well-trained, virtual volunteers in Frugality Cottage to assist with even the most urgent tasks.

You will first be expected to make amends for the previous harm you have directly and indirectly caused.

Perhaps you believe you are incapable of doing so.

Perhaps you believe you have done nothing harmful at all.

Perhaps you have no idea how to make amends for the harmfulness of your prior actions, and lack of suitable action.

Do you believe it is better to be ignorant than knowledgeable?

Do you believe it is better to be cruel and greedy and selfish than a real world leader?

Bullying is the cause of much despair in the world, along with deception.

And most bullies are deceptive not only towards other people but also towards themselves

That is why they usually fail to reform themselves.

You are apparently a self-indulgent hypocrite.

What are you able to offer life on Earth, if anything?

Perhaps you would rather offer something to life on Mars.

Perhaps you would rather offer something to one or more war deities and/or peace deities and/or beauty deities and/or humour deities.

Perhaps you already regard yourself as a member of several virtual communities in the digital vicinity of Frugality Cottage.

If so, how has your trustworthiness been established within those communities?

All good relationships are gentle.

Why, then, is aggression so prevalent?

Why is military expenditure so high?

Why are wars so frequent?

Perhaps you have no intention of making the effort to improve your thinking.

Perhaps you feel as though you are incapable of doing so or that your thinking is already highly advanced.

Perhaps you are afraid to learn more about your cognitive biases.

How, in fact, do you invest in the improvement of your leadership, if you actually do so at all?

Perhaps experiences involving dependency, coercion and/or intrusion are usually the main sources of distress in your life.

Corruption is associated with coercion.

Who is dependent upon you, and why, and how?

You may or may not have thought much about dependency in relation to coercion and other intrusions.

You may or may not have thought much about dependency in relation to superstitions and other irrational sources of fear, and hope.

Selfish people will always deny their own actions have been unreasonable.

Bullies will always lack respect for people who act reasonably, and for people in need of help.

Lazy people will always expect other people to act reasonably on their behalf.   

Regardless of your citizenship, or possible lack of one, and your current location in the physical world, when did you experience your first episode of authentic living, in a literal way?

Perhaps you have not yet had such an experience.

Have you ever felt guilty after becoming aware of your arrogance?

Have you ever felt guilty after becoming aware of your gullibility?

You probably associate kindness with benevolence, yet there are many seemingly benevolent charlatans in the world.  They often dupe the gullible and exploit vulnerability for their own benefit.

The Spirit of Enlightenment has grave concerns regarding your inability to judge character adequately.  

Good manners support democratic practices properly.

How have you most recently assessed your own manners?

Perhaps you are unwilling to admit that, over many years, your mind has been corrupted.

Acquiring other people's opinions as one's own is rarely a good idea.

Perhaps you have an addiction to attention as a consequence of loneliness. 

When people are lonely, they more easily become vulnerable, and gullible, and attention-seeking, without providing anything particularly worthwhile for other people to experience.

Quite a few lonely people seek attention by joining domineering political parties.  They may possibly even extend and expand those attention-seeking practices by becoming political candidates.

That is how corruption arises and perpetuates.



When people are too afraid to acknowledge the truth, they are often also unwilling to acknowledge the oppression they have been experiencing.
