A Political Incantation for Peace and Justice

Reflect upon the ethics of fate.

Rid the world of violence and hate.

Peace and justice cannot wait.

Remember you have started late.

If you can easily tell the time,

With or without a simple rhyme,

The power you hold will be sublime,

If your intentions are always benign.

Always be clean in mind, heart and hand.

Be careful on journeys by air, sea and land.

Communicate clearly.  Help people understand.

A peaceful strategy is properly planned.

Calm your mind of agitation.

Gently chant this incantation.

Nations are unworthy of admiration.

Politics always causes much frustration.

Peace is something never to sell.

Justice is free but hubris is hell.

Allow this spell to work quite well.

If it has power, only time will tell.

Politics is often cruel.

Yet well-informed kindness is a virtuous tool.

Never attempt to impress a fool.

Consistently follow that simple rule.

Perceptions cause considerable stress.

Acknowledge the world is in a mess.

Focus the goodness you possess.

Pay attention to consciousness.

Do not be duped by imagery.

Allow your mind to be truly free.

Understand phenomenology.

Embrace enlightened civility.

Re-enchant the world like a beautiful flower.

Maintain your dignity.  Do not cower.

Repeat three times these words of power.

Remembering always that this is a grimoire.

The wonderful witches of Australia

Know the truth about tulip mania.

Charms deceive and often cause failure.

Even in Tasmania.

Crime itself will not decrease

If political seats are golden geese.

And words are not the source of peace

Wherever there are corrupt police.

Justice is a golden egg.

It never requires anyone to beg.

It never costs an arm and a leg.

It is something you must never renege.

One is one.  That is true.

One plus one is really two.

Three is more but still is few.

Four is a quatrain, written for you.

Do you prefer a simple rhyme or something grander?

Can you tell a golden goose from a stupid gander?

Remember evidence-based criticism is never slander.

Do you understand this stanza?

You probably need much more practice.

Political incantations must always supports peace and justice,

But will anyone really understand and take much notice

In a world still filled with greed and prejudice?

Start again, when you are ready.

Unless you want to give up already.

You may prefer bread, jam and tea,

Or a more famous work of poetry.
