For persons in distress, the indifference and abusiveness of persons in positions of power causes psychological trauma, or exacerbates existing trauma.

Cruel practices further erode the psychological resilience of the victims of earlier abuses, and of the victims of other misfortunes.

And indifferent individuals destroy the meaningfulness of democracy.

Yet such people are likely to have mental health problems of their own.

They lack control over their own lives. 

They are caught up in a corrupt system not of their own making.

Yet they contribute to the perpetuation of cruel organisational hierarchies, ridiculous ideologies, the deceptive distortion of perceptions and the associated corruption.

There is often very little difference, in terms of justice, between business activities and criminal activities, particularly when governments are corrupt.  

Perhaps you wish to be a war profiteer.

Perhaps you are happy not knowing whether you are a war profiteer or not.

Corruption continues to be at war against the good.

Perhaps you are interested in participating in violent revolutions, wars and societal chaos.

Industrial revolutions have been wars on nature, with time bombs laid in the atmosphere and oceans.  Those bombs are already exploding.

You may have experienced a weather bomb, a heat dome, a deluge or a drought.

You may even have contributed to their initiation and/or your great grandparents did and/or their great grandparents.

What were your ancestors doing in 1830, and where?

If you value genuine peace, the protection and improvement of health, authentic living, adequate justice, clear communication and appropriately high standards of living, how successfully or otherwise have you been insisting upon governments and other influential organisations doing likewise?

Corrupt politicians often claim that weather patterns have always caused extreme events to occur.  They may even cite events from 1634 and even from 1362.  Yet such politicians, and the people paying for them to have power, fail to distinguish between a natural occurrence, the societal events and built environment in times of disaster, and the contributions of humans towards changing natural systems.

Protecting health properly and helping healing adequately both require a world without corruption.

But is that possible?

Whenever unjustifiable aggression happens, including aggression towards nature itself, it is wrong, regardless of whether or not it is legal. 

Unjust social hierarchies often encourage incivility and cruelty.

What do you encourage?

There is very little difference between aggressive business practices, aggressive bureaucratic procedures, aggressive political communications, aggressive judicial processes, aggressive broadcasters and organised crime.

Governments are reflections of the culture upon which they are based.  When a culture is corrupt, so is the associated government. 

What happens in the world today will have an effect long into the future.  Similarly, events from previous decades and centuries are influencing the world in the present.

The burning of fossil fuels in the 19th century continues to have an effect on climate change in the present.  That will continue for the future, possibly for thousands of years.

Waiting until situations become totally intolerable to the people with political power is not an option.  Situations are already totally intolerable to many people, for many reasons.

How are you attempting to ensure all your expressions of love and politics remain healthy?

The beneficiaries of corruption and/or unjust societal privileges often regard real philanthropy as a threat to their own power.

Real philanthropists are entirely peaceful, regardless of the threats they face.

How are you protecting and improving life?

Wonderful witches are real philanthropists, regardless of their usual anonymity.  They spend much of their time protecting health properly and helping healing adequately.
